You didn't choose to be in this position.
I want to offer my thoughts to you and anyone who has suffered a bereavement under any circumstance.
You have experienced a loss. Maybe it was recent, maybe it was years ago.
Yet it has changed everything
It changes how you wake up in the morning
How the house feels now
How exhausted you are, even when you have done nothing at all
Confused by the volume and intensity of emotions you may be feeling
Wondering when you'll feel like yourself again and regain your sparkle
Let me guess... this is where you're at right now?
Why Grief Counselling Can Make a Difference
Grief counselling isn't about 'getting over it'
It's not about forcing positivity
It's not about 'fixing' because there is nothing broken. It is a natural response to a loss
It's certainly not abut rushing you to feel different
It IS about giving your grief a safe space to breathe
In grief counselling you can:
- Speak freely without being judged or rushed
- Start to untangle the complicated array of emotions that grief creates
- Make sense of the shock, confusion or numbness
- Learn how grief affects the body and the mind
- Say the things you feel you 'shouldn't say'
- Find ways to cope with the overwhelming waves
- Begin to rebuild your sense of identity after loss
But most importantly
You don't have to hold it all alone. Someone is there to walk with you and your grief.

But what If Talking About it Makes it Worse?
This is a very common fear, you're not alone if youve thought it
Maybe you already feel like you're barely holding it all together. The idea of opening it up even gently can feel terrifying.
Yet here's what often happens
When grief stays bottled up, it becomes heavier or will come out in unexpected ways
When it's shared safely, it becomes more manageable.
In counselling, you move at your pace. You're timeline.
Over time, many people notice
- Fewer overwhelming emotional spikes
- Less physical symptoms
- Better sleep
- Less self-blame
- The ability to remember their loved one without being completely consumed
Your grief will always be there but life begins to feel possible again. Your life starts to grow bigger around your grief.
You might benefit from grief counselling if:
-
You feel stuck or unable to move forward
-
You feel intense sadness, anger, guilt
-
Your relationships are suffering
-
You're struggling with anxiety or depression since the loss
-
You feel like you've lost a part of yourself
-
You want support through this time
-
You're tired of carrying it all alone
The depth of your grief reflects the depth of your love.
-
You don't have to know exactly what to say
-
You don't have to be okay to start
-
You don't have to feel hopeful
You just have to be willing to be supported and we'll walk from there. Together.
